"Nada El Masriya is the Ambassador of Egyptian Dance in Canada."

"One of my fondest memory in Toronto was playing the old dance "Dakhlet el-'Awalem" for Nada. Her dance reminded me so much of the subtleties of my greatest fan Samia Gamal."

"When you think of Nada as a Belly Dancer, you of course see the magnetizing artist and performer that she is. However, I have had the privilege to witness another part of her. For me Nada has been my teacher, and one of my inspirations to continue on this journey of dance. She creates such a safe learning environment that you can’t help but want to learn more from her at each and every class. Her belief is to learn from seeing and then develop through doing, which is evident in the fact that her students seem to love dancing the class away by following and learning from her emotionally charged improvised dance routines.
When you dance with Nada in her class, you don’t just dance with her, but rather through her, her feelings, and her love for the art. Nada knows the importance of cultivating proper technique, all while understanding that each and every dancer learns at a different pace and level.
Really in the end, when I think of Nada, I think of all that I want to achieve in my Belly Dance career including the grace and poise of a truly exceptionally gifted artist."

"When I decided to study the art of belly dance I looked for the absolute best: Nada El Masriya is a Master of the Art of Belly Dance and has changed my life from the inside out. Her exuberance, skill and joyful intelligence generates a quality throughout the studio that makes the student want to excel in this ancient art of Egypt into which Nada was born!"

"I have had the pleasure of taking classes from Nada. I also have enjoyed her dancing both at and outside her studio. Nada is a wonderful dancer. The atmosphere at Nada's is very supportive and welcoming. Nada is an excellent teacher, who teaches with passion and dedication. I look forward to many, many years with Nada. I am learning to play the drum, and look forward to drumming for the wonderful dancers at Hannan's Bellydance Studio."

"Before finding the studio I did several weeks of Bellydance group lessons at the gym that I used to attend and I also tried to take classes with another teacher in a general dance studio, I knew I like it but it wasn't going anywhere. What made HBDS stand out, was the opportunity for real continuous growth, a well established set of levels and very caring and committed teachers. That made all the difference for me from the very first class.
The other big factor was the value that each of the teachers bring to the studio. I have been an unlimited student for quite some time and i have had the opportunity to take classes with almost all the teachers from the studio, each one have an amazing open, funny way to explain the moves, it's not hard to notice that they all have a very genuine interest in the success of each student.
Each week in Nada's professional class there is a new challenge, a new way of learning the Egyptian art of dancing. I love her classes and we always get fun times, great music, always smiles and a very friendly and respectful mentor to learn from.
After a working day at the office, to relax, enjoy and feel happy there is no better way than to go to the studio and enjoy an always amazing bellydance class."

"Recently, I started taking bellydance classes with my sister and I have to say it has been a great experience - both for learning a new form of dance, practicing shaking my booty and receiving a great abdominal workout all at the same time!
A few weeks ago, I had my first class and since then, I am definitely getting better and better with the fluid and sexy motions of bellydance.
My teacher is wonderful when it comes to teaching and breaking down the movements. She is patient and really encouraging when it comes to learning the moves.
Every class begins with a warm-up, a review of the moves we learned in the previous class, instruction of a new dance move, a performance combination and a nice stretch and cool down to finish off the class.
If you have to miss a class, no sweat! The studio offers plenty of make-up class opportunities so you can keep up your technique and not worry about wasting your money on missing a class.
Hannan's has two studios in the city - one on the Danforth and one at Yonge and Eglinton - so it is very accessible to most in the city.
I highly recommend taking a bellydance class. I have been dancing since I was 3 and learning a new form of dance is always treat. These classes are great for individuals of all dancing levels."
