NADA EL MASRIYA

In the words of legendary dancer, actress and cultural icon Fifi Abdou and I quote, “Nada El Masriya is the Ambassador of Egyptian Dance in Canada.”

Nada El Masriya is an Egyptian Artist, a graduate of Cairo University with a degree in Law and a minor in the history of Egyptian Culture & Dance traditions Nada has spent most of her life training, teaching and performing internationally as a professional dancer.
Her international dance career began with the prestigious Reda Troupe School, Egypt’s first and most famous folkloric dance company.  Nada El Masriya is the Artistic Director and Co-Founder of the Egyptian Dance Academy based in Toronto and regularly teaches and performs around the world. Nada has performed and taught in Korea, Japan, Mexico, Canada, USA and Egypt to name a few. Her thousands of students find her clear explanations and technical insight inspire their movements and progress.

Nada El Masriya is touring all over the world teaching and performing, we welcome her as a Master Instructor at the Masriyatt INTENSIVE 2018.

Wael Mansour

Wael Mansour is appreciated all over the world for his technique, his elegance, his modern touch in the sharky and his Egyptian folklore.
He was born in Cairo where he studied and graduated from the best schools of Egyptian ballet. Quickly, he becomes part of the most famous dance companies in Cairo during the 90’s. He is appreciated especially as soloist dancer- He also has experiences in cinema, theater and tv. He attends many national and international festivals as teacher in Cairo and abroad.
After a job experience in Switzerland, currently he lives in Italy where he teaches across the country and he is art director of the most important Oriental Belly dance Festivals.
His main purpose is to spread the right value of Egyptian dance through teaching, training and shows.

MARTA KORZUN

Marta Korzun is a world-renowned belly dance teacher and performer from Ukraine, now residing in Toronto, Canada. She has developed a unique and individual style in Raks Sharqi, making her a prestigious master teacher in the field.

Marta began her career in 2006 participating in various competitions in Ukraine and abroad, including Cairo. She also attended workshops with renowned masters of oriental dance such as Kazafy, Raqia Hassan, Mahmoud Reda, Khaled Mahmoud, Randa Kamel, Wael Mansour, Yousry Sharif, Aida Nur, Lubna Emam, Amir Thaleb, Hatem Hamdy, and many others, including Ukrainian famous teachers.

Known and loved all over the world, Marta’s work is characterized by beautiful lines of hands, sculpted accents, spectacular posture, and extraordinary charisma. She is a magnificent, talented, and fascinating dancer who excels in a variety of movements and exclusive techniques, including complex elements in the hips and belly, as well as exquisite hand work.

NOURAH

Nourah‘s passion for dance was ignited at a young age, growing up surrounded by the vibrant rhythms and movements of Latin music. After discovering Oriental Dance, she immersed herself in the art form and trained intensively with renowned master instructors such as Nada el Masriya, Tito Seif, Mohamed Shahin, and more in Toronto, New York, and Cairo.

Her dedication and hard work paid off as she became a prominent artist in Toronto and eventually lead dancer of the Egyptian Dance Company. Nourah’s dynamic and captivating performances have earned her a large following online and she is now one of the most sought-after belly dancers across Ontario.

In 2022, Nourah fulfilled a lifelong dream by establishing her own dance academy, Hashtaka Dance Studio, where she provides classes to more than 50 students on a regular basis. Her main goal is to spread love and positivity through belly dance, and she strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment where her students can discover their own unique expression and flourish as dancers.

With her rich history and extensive training, Nourah is a true ambassador of Oriental Dance and an inspiration to dancers everywhere.

Esmeralda Saadeh

Esmeralda Saadeh, Brazilian bellydancer performer and teacher. She loves Egyptian music, language and dance. She began her career at age of 13 years old and has studied with master Egyptian teachers such as Randa Kamel, Tito Seif, Mohamed Shahin, Nada El Masriya and others. Esmeralda can’t wait to teach you and perform for you at the Masriyatt INTENSIVE 2020 for the first time.

DR. GEORGE SAWA

The incredible Dr George Sawa has over 50 years experience in Arabic music performance, history and theory and has performed and lectured extensively worldwide: Canada, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Europe and the Middle East.

Dr George Sawa is touring all over the world teaching and performing, we welcome him as a Master Instructor at the Masriyatt INTENSIVE 2018.
